Beschreibung

In der Enzymologie ist eine Aminoacylase (EC 3.5.1.14) ein Enzym, das die chemische Reaktion katalysiert: N-acyl-L-amino Säure + H2O ↔ Carboxylat + L-amino Säure. Somit sind die beiden Substrate dieses Enzyms N-acyl-L-amino Säure und H2O, während seine beiden Produkte Carboxylat und L-amino Säure sind. Dieses Enzym gehört zur Familie der Hydrolasen, die an Kohlenstoff-Stickstoff-Bindungen wirken, die keine Peptidbindungen sind, insbesondere in linearen Amiden. Dieses Enzym ist am Harnstoffzyklus und am Stoffwechsel von Aminogruppen beteiligt.
