Beschreibung

Phosphoglucose-Isomerase (PGI) ist ein Enzym, das entscheidend für die Umwandlung von D-Glukose-6-phosphat und D-Fruktose-6-phosphat ist. PGI ist verantwortlich für den zweiten Schritt der Glykolyse und ist an der Glukoneogenese beteiligt. Es ist in Bakterien und Eukaryoten hoch konserviert.
