Beschreibung

Cellulose 1,4-beta-cellobiosidase (nicht-reduzierendes Ende) ist ein Enzym mit dem Systemnamen 4-beta-D-Glucan Cellobiohydrolase (nicht-reduzierendes Ende). Dieses Enzym katalysiert die folgende chemische Reaktion: Hydrolyse von (1->4)-beta-D-glucosidischen Bindungen in Cellulose und Cellotetraose, wobei [Cellobiose] von den nicht-reduzierenden Enden der Ketten freigesetzt wird.

Cellobiohydrolase I kann in Kombination mit Endocellulasen und β-Glucosidase verwendet werden, um Glukose aus Cellulose zu produzieren.

Produktübersicht

Cellubiohydrolase I ist ein Enzym, das in vielen Pilzen, insbesondere in Holzfäulepilzen, vorkommt. Es ist ein Monomer mit 53 kDa, das eine katalytische Domäne und eine Cellulose-bindende Domäne aufweist. Die Reaktion fügt Wasser zu den Glukosebindungen in Cellulose (nicht-reduzierende Enden der Kette) hinzu und erzeugt Cellobiose.

Form

Das Enzym wird in einer Lösung aus Natriumacetat und Ammoniumsulfat bereitgestellt, die 0,02% Natriumazid enthält.
